Our mirrored acrylic sheets—also known as plexiglass mirrors, Lucite mirrors, or Perspex mirrors—offer the same visual brilliance as glass mirror with less weight and greater safety. Made from extruded acrylic, these sheets provide a smooth, reflective surface ideal for decorative, retail, and architectural applications where traditional glass would be too heavy or fragile.
Each sheet is manufactured through a vacuum metallizing process that deposits a thin layer of aluminum onto one side of the acrylic, creating a bright and durable mirror finish. The reflective surface is then coated with a painted backing to protect it during fabrication and use. This process ensures excellent clarity, consistent reflection, and a long-lasting finish suited for indoor applications.
Mirrored acrylic is easy to laser cut, route, drill, and bond with standard acrylic tools. It’s lightweight, economical, and does not shatter into sharp pieces like glass—making it both safer and easier to work with in creative and commercial environments. Available in standard silver as well as a range of tinted colors, our mirror sheets bring modern style and reflective depth to any project.
At Canal Plastics Center, mirrored acrylic is available in pre-cut sizes, full sheets, and custom cut-to-size options through our online order form.
Produced through a precision vacuum metallizing process with aluminum for superior reflectivity and brightness. The extruded acrylic substrate provides flatness and stability while remaining up to 50% lighter and 10 times more impact-resistant than glass. Economical, easy to fabricate, and suitable for laser cutting, CNC routing, or hand tooling. Offered in silver and multiple tinted finishes, in pre-cut, full-sheet, or custom cut-to-size formats.
Mirrored acrylic can be cut using standard plastic fabrication methods. For sheets up to 0.118" thick, scribing and snapping over a table edge is effective for quick, straight cuts. For precise work, use carbide-tipped circular or table saw blades with a triple-chip design and 10–15° clearance angle. Always keep the masked side down during cutting and maintain a steady feed rate to prevent chipping or melting. A cool air or water mist should be applied to the blade during cutting—avoid lubricants, which may react with the mirror backing.
Acrylic mirror can also be laser cut or engraved using CO₂ lasers to achieve smooth, polished edges and minimal waste. Maintain proper focal distance, and leave masking on one or both sides to absorb laser energy evenly. Typical cutting speeds average around 200 inches per minute using 200 watts from a 1200-watt laser. Always exhaust fumes properly, wear laser-rated safety glasses, and test parameters before production. For best bonding performance, anneal sheets after cutting to relieve edge stress.
Water jet cutting is not recommended, as it can leave micro-notches that lead to cracking or edge failure.
