DESCRIPTION

Solatuf is a thin acrylic sheet film designed for clarity, strength and UV stability. It’s available in a lightweight 0.030" gauge, making it a great choice for applications that require a clear and durable plastic like acrylic but in a thinner and more flexible form. This film is an impact-modified acrylic, allowing it to maintain durability even at thin gauges. Solatuf has a smooth glossy surface and excellent optical clarity, UV resistance, weatherability and formability, making it ideal for protective, decorative and structural use in both indoor and outdoor environments.

As with other acrylics, Solatuf can be easily laser cut, printed on or vacuum formed. Some common applications include printed labels, signage, graphic decals, instrument panel overlays, protective face shields, DIY fabrication and architectural model making. Please note that this material is provided with a protective film masking on both sides of the sheet.

Plastic Sheet Films

Our plastic sheet films are thin yet durable and are suitable for applications requiring thinner materials than standard acrylic sheets. Available thicknesses range from 0.010" to 0.030" depending on the material.

Both acrylic and polycarbonate films are available, which are similar but have key differences that may be a factor in some applications. Solatuf acrylic film is a thinner and more flexible form of acrylic that maintains excellent optical clarity. It can also be laser cut and printed on. On the other hand, polycarbonate cannot be laser cut. Polycarbonate does have good optical clarity and also significantly higher impact resistance in comparison to acrylic which allows it to work well in demanding applications without cracking, snapping or tearing.
