DESCRIPTION

Solatuf is a 0.030″ gauge clear acrylic film - impact-modified for durability at thin gauges, with a smooth glossy surface, optical clarity, and UV resistance. It handles like a flexible plastic film while holding the surface quality and weatherability of acrylic sheet. Protective masking on both sides. Available in 12″×24″ and 24″×36″ sheets. Great for stencils !

Laser cuts cleanly, accepts printing directly on the surface, and vacuum forms without stress-crazing. Used for printed labels, graphic decals, instrument panel overlays, face shields, signage inserts, protective covers, and architectural model making. The impact-modified formula handles better at 0.030″ than standard acrylic film - less prone to cracking on the cutting table or during fabrication.

Plastic Sheet Films

Our plastic sheet films are thin yet durable and are suitable for applications requiring thinner materials than standard acrylic sheets. Available thicknesses range from 0.010" to 0.030" depending on the material.

Both acrylic and polycarbonate films are available, which are similar but have key differences that may be a factor in some applications. Solatuf acrylic film is a thinner and more flexible form of acrylic that maintains excellent optical clarity. It can also be laser cut and printed on. On the other hand, polycarbonate cannot be laser cut. Polycarbonate does have good optical clarity and also significantly higher impact resistance in comparison to acrylic which allows it to work well in demanding applications without cracking, snapping or tearing.
