A partially metallized mirror that reflects from one side and transmits from the other — the effect is determined by light differential between two spaces. The side with more light sees a reflection; the side with less light sees through as if looking through a window. No backing, no opaque layer — the film is applied directly to the extruded acrylic substrate, leaving it transparent in lower-light conditions.
Used in retail and grocery store observation, photography and video production, privacy partitions, infinity mirror builds, and architectural installations where concealment or selective visibility is required. Must be mounted mechanically — do not use adhesive backing or mount against a solid surface, as this eliminates the see-through effect. The darkened side must remain unobstructed to function correctly.
