The most specified acrylic mirror — silver reads identically to glass mirror at a fraction of the weight and with none of the breakage risk. Made from extruded acrylic with a vacuum-metallized aluminum reflective film and painted backing, it delivers consistent, high-clarity reflection across the full sheet. Also referred to as clear mirror or regular mirror, silver is the default specification for dance studios, retail displays, dressing rooms, signage, and any application where a traditional mirror look is required.
Used in retail fixtures, dance studios, photography sets, display cases, event decor, interior design, and fabrication work. For photography and large installations, 1/8" or thicker is recommended for flatness and optimal reflection quality — thinner sheets are more flexible and may show distortion if not mounted to a rigid, flat backing. Mount to smooth, flat surfaces such as MDF or rigid panel using 100% virgin grade silicone.
Do not use IPS Weld-On solvent-based acrylic cements on the mirror backing. For large installations, mechanical support is recommended until adhesive cures fully.
