Clear Colorless 0.040" / 1mm Acrylic Sheet

This clear acrylic sheet —often referred to as Plexiglas®, Lucite® or Perspex® is a premium cast material with excellent optical clarity and long-term stability. It offers a bright, transparent finish with approximately 92% light transmission and maintains a smooth glossy surface on both sides. 

The material remains stable under cutting, drilling, routing, and laser machining. Edges polish cleanly, and CNC cuts produce sharp, defined profiles. Clear acrylic maintains its clarity in sunlight and performs reliably indoors and outdoors with strong UV resistance. It weighs roughly half as much as glass while providing greater impact strength and a more controlled behavior when fabricated.

Custom cut-to-size pieces are produced in-house with a standard tolerance of ±1/32". Most cuts are ready for pickup within 30–60 minutes. Laser cutting, CNC routing, drilled holes, and edge finishing are also available for projects requiring precise shapes or polished surfaces. All sheets are masked for protection during fabrication and handling.

For applications requiring predictable dimensional performance, this material maintains stability across a wide temperature range. It machines smoothly without splintering and responds well to bending when heated evenly.

Material Notes:
This is cast acrylic (PMMA). It is harder and clearer than extruded acrylic and produces a higher-quality finished edge when polished. It is not recommended for applications requiring high continuous heat exposure or impact levels similar to polycarbonate.
