Cast clear acrylic is the most specified plastic material in fabrication and one of the most practical alternatives to glass in framing. It delivers optical-grade transparency with a glass-like finish on both sides, consistent thickness throughout, and none of the weight, brittleness, or breakage risk of actual glass. At roughly half the weight of glass and significantly more impact-resistant, it ships safer, installs easier, and eliminates the liability concerns that come with glazing glass in high-traffic or public spaces. Available from 1/16" up to 1" online, with heavier gauges available in-store and by custom order.
