Clear extruded acrylic square tube in outside diameters from ½″ to 3″, available with 1/16″ or 1/8″ wall thickness. The right-angle profile makes it the practical choice for furniture legs, retail fixture frames, display stands, and structural fabrication work where round tubing won’t do. It machines and cuts cleanly, bonds with standard acrylic solvents, and carries the same optical clarity as clear round tubing.
Used by furniture makers, exhibit designers, retail fixture fabricators, and architectural model builders. Smaller sizes work well for detail work and scale models; larger sizes handle load-bearing and structural applications. All sizes are in stock and available for same-day pickup at our Canal Street location.
Note: square tubes may not be perfectly square due to the extrusion process. This is generally not noticeable in sizes under 1″ but may be visible on close inspection in larger sizes. Tubes ship with saw-cut edges. End polishing is available on request. Custom lengths up to 72″ available via our order form here.

Canal Plastics Center stocks extruded acrylic rods and tubes across the widest size and finish range we know of in the US - clear round rods from 1/16″ up to 3″, clear round tubes from ¼″ up to 12″ OD including large-diameter sizes at 8″, 10″, and 12″ that most distributors don’t carry, frosted tubing up to 6″ OD, and colored rods and tubes in translucent, opaque, and fluorescent finishes. Everything is in stock and available for same-day cutting.
Extruded acrylic is lighter and more shatter-resistant than glass, machines cleanly, and bonds with standard acrylic solvents. It’s the material of choice for lighting designers building LED housings and diffusion channels, set builders and prop fabricators working at scale, architects and model makers specifying structural and display elements, sign makers, aquarium builders, and retail fixture fabricators. The full fabrication shop is on-site at 345 Canal Street - cut to length, end polishing, drilling, and custom cuts are all done in-house.
