The Craftics Pro-Series Plasdrill is a drill bit engineered specifically for plastic - acrylic, polycarbonate, laminates, styrenes, ABS, and similar materials. Standard drill bits for wood or metal have rake angles that grab plastic and cause cracking, chipping, and stress crazing. The Plasdrill uses a 60° point and 0° rake that shears the material cleanly instead of grabbing it, producing a smooth hole without damaging the surrounding material.
Available in 8 individual sizes from ⅛″ to ½″ and as a 6-piece kit. Recommended for use with a drill press for best results - the controlled feed rate and perpendicular entry produce cleaner holes than hand drilling. Suitable for high-speed drilling. Made in USA.
