P99 features a soft matte finish that reduces glare across a wide range of lighting conditions without sacrificing image clarity or color accuracy. With 90% light transmission and built-in UV stability, it delivers a clean, reflection-free view of the artwork behind it. The go-to specification for museums, galleries, and professional framers where controlled lighting isn't guaranteed.
OP3 blocks nearly 100% of ultraviolet rays — the highest level of UV conservation available in acrylic glazing. Acid-free, optically clear, and distortion-free, it is the specification for conservation framing, archival displays, and any application where long-term protection of the work is the priority. Clear glazing with maximum UV blocking, no compromise on viewing quality.
At Canal Plastics Center we cut both materials to size in our SoHo workshop, with precision fabrication available including drilled holes, polished edges, and specialty shapes so sheets arrive project-ready.
For standard framing where glare reduction and full UV filtering are not required, cast clear acrylic delivers optical-grade transparency at 92% light transmission - higher than P99 and equal to OP3 — at roughly half the weight of glass and with none of the breakage or shipping risk. It also provides up to 60% UV protection compared to no glazing, making it a meaningful step up from unprotected work even without a dedicated UV filtering coating. A practical glazing solution for high-volume framing, open editions, and applications where clarity and safety are the priority.
