Translucent acrylic sits between transparent and opaque — it passes light without passing image, diffusing light evenly across the surface and producing a soft, consistent glow when backlit. Made from cast acrylic, these sheets deliver strong color saturation with even light distribution, making them a reliable specification for illuminated signage, LED panel work, lighting design, and backlit displays.
The collection includes standard translucent colors in full sheets 48" × 96" — White, Red, and Blue — as well as specialty pearl and tortoise shell finishes in 24" × 40" sheets. Each material diffuses light differently depending on color depth and thickness; for LED and backlit applications, thicker sheets produce more even diffusion with less hotspotting.
At Canal Plastics Center we stock the full range in-house at our SoHo workshop, with same-day cut-to-size available. All sheets are cast acrylic and fabricate cleanly with standard acrylic tools.
