Fluted & Textured Acrylic Sheets
Fluted acrylic, also called reeded or ribbed acrylic, carries a continuous rounded rib on one face and a flat glossy back. The ribs refract whatever sits behind them into soft vertical bands, so a panel obscures without going opaque. It is the reeded glass look at a fraction of the weight, and it will not shatter.
Our fluted sheets are extruded, not coated: the profile is formed in the material itself, so it cannot wear off or peel. Flute pitch is 3.82 mm, about 6.65 ribs per inch and roughly 319 across a 48 inch sheet. Overall thickness is 2.65 mm. Flutes run parallel to the longest dimension of whatever size you order.
Available clear at 90% light transmission, or with an iridescent film on the flat back that shifts through gold, rose and lilac as you move past it, at 85%.
Cut to size, laser cut, CNC routed, drilled and edge polished in our workshop at 345 Canal Street. Full sheets are 48 x 96 inches, pre-cut sizes ship nationwide, and every sheet is available as a 2 x 2 inch sample.
