Acrylic meets artistry in our latest collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist FRIDGE, who transformed 23 of our transparent plexiglass colors into a one-of-a-kind sculpture series titled Cold Cuts.
This exclusive collection features 23 hand-assembled FRIDGE sculptures, each crafted from a different hue of transparent acrylic sheet sourced directly from Canal Plastics Center. Every piece was laser cut and constructed in FRIDGE’s Brooklyn studio, totaling over 2,000 individual plexiglass components across the full series.
“This is a special project and a milestone in my career as an artist—a full circle moment. Over 10 years ago, I would wander into Canal Plastics just to explore. That magical store became my main supplier. Now, I’m taking over their windows to showcase my art.”
— FRIDGE
From Plexi to Personal
What makes Cold Cuts truly special isn’t just the precision and palette — it’s the story. FRIDGE has been a part of the Canal Plastics community since his teenage years. What started as curiosity evolved into craftsmanship. Today, that journey comes full circle in a project that lives at the intersection of raw materials, history, and contemporary art.
