DESCRIPTION

Clear on the face, green at the edge — Green Edge acrylic replicates the characteristic tint of architectural glass without using glass. The body transmits light with near-optical clarity while the edge carries a natural green tone, giving finished pieces the look and feel of a glass panel at a fraction of the weight and handling risk.

Specified by architects, interior designers, and furniture makers who want the glass aesthetic for shelving, table tops, partitions, and display cases. A precise substitute for projects where glass is impractical but the visual language of glass is required.

Cast acrylic, gloss finish. Full sheets 48" × 96", pre-cut tolerance +/−1/8". Compatible with laser cutting, routing, drilling, and bonding. Edge polishing recommended to bring out the full glass-like appearance. Custom cut-to-size available.

Our acrylic sheets—also known as plexiglass, Lucite, or Perspex—are made primarily from cast acrylic, prized for its crystal clarity, rigidity, and ease of fabrication. Compared to extruded acrylic, cast acrylic offers superior optical quality, better resistance to solvents, and a smoother polished edge when laser cut or machined.

At Canal Plastics Center, nearly all of our sheet materials are cast acrylic, with the exception of our Mirrored Acrylic, Iridescent Acrylic, and Gallery Framing collections, which are made from extruded acrylic for optimal consistency and reflective performance.
