A textured black / gray smoke film with a moiré pattern creating an illusion of depth and movement, suitable for special effects in photography and design.

DESCRIPTION

This multi-lensed effect film made from durable poly-carbonate is perfect for catching eyes towards a wide variety of projects, including signs, displays, and packaging. There's no need to have these custom cut; it's thin enough to be easily cut at home with scissors or a box cutter.

This semi-transparent material mimics the motion and reflection of water under white and clear tints as the viewer changes perspective. The finish is very finely textured. An opaque-backed version is also available that is commonly used in drum wraps and other musical instrument projects.

To order, select a backing and the desired quantity in 1 yard increments (in a standard width of 25-3/8"), or 12" x 12" sheets. Films sold by the yard will be delivered in one continuous roll (up to 50 yards).

My Review

I was trying to use this material as decorative covers over a curved steel shell on a pocket knife. If I could break out multiple reviews I would give the material 4 stars for looks. My issue with the material was that it was too thick to conform to the steel shell cover of the pocket knife. I tried to heat the material to make it more conformation but the heat didn't seem to affect the material.
While good looking, this material was not suitable for my application.
