DESCRIPTION

Ribbed on one face and filmed on the other, our Iridescent Fluted Acrylic Sheet moves through gold, rose and lilac as you walk past it. The iridescent film sits on the flat back, so the color is seen through the flutes: the ribs slice the shift into vertical bands rather than letting it wash flat across the panel.

The flute is extruded into the sheet rather than applied to it, so it runs the full length at a 3.82 mm pitch, about 6.65 ribs per inch and roughly 319 across a 48 inch width. Overall thickness is 2.65 mm, of which 1.30 mm is the rib and 1.35 mm the base beneath it. Light transmission is 85%, so it still passes most of the light that reaches it.

Iridescent Fluted is a statement material: bar and restaurant interiors, retail and beauty fixtures, feature walls and screens, reception faces, event and set work, and backlit panels where the shift has something to play against. It pairs with black, brass, chrome and cream, and it photographs exceptionally well.

The film is on the flat back, which keeps the wear face bare acrylic, but it means any adhesive, bond line or fixing bearing on the back bears on the film, and a cut or routed edge exposes it. Both faces arrive under protective masking. Flutes run parallel to the longest dimension of whatever size you order, so state the orientation on your drawings, and take channel and clamping details off the 1.35 mm base rather than the 2.65 mm overall.
