Clear Fluted Acrylic Sheet

Optically clear, ribbed, and quietly architectural, our Clear Fluted Acrylic Sheet carries a continuous rounded flute on one face and a flat glossy back. The ribs bend whatever sits behind them into soft vertical bands, so the panel obscures without going opaque: light and shape pass through, detail does not. It is the reeded glass look in a material a fraction of the weight that will not shatter.

The flute is extruded into the sheet rather than applied to it, so it runs the full length at a 3.82 mm pitch, about 6.65 ribs per inch and roughly 319 across a 48 inch width. Overall thickness is 2.65 mm, of which 1.30 mm is the rib and 1.35 mm the base beneath it. Light transmission is 90%, so almost nothing is lost to the texture.

Clear Fluted suits partitions and room dividers, cabinet and joinery fronts, reception and bar faces, retail fixtures, light diffusers and window treatments. It pairs with brass, walnut, blackened steel and cream, and it reads equally well lit from behind or seen against a room.

Both faces arrive under protective masking. Extruded acrylic laser cuts, saws, routs and drills cleanly; relieve stress before solvent cementing, and expect a lower-contrast mark when engraving than you would get on cast. Flutes run parallel to the longest dimension of whatever size you order, so state the orientation on your drawings, and take channel and clamping details off the 1.35 mm base rather than the 2.65 mm overall.
