Dark, dramatic and full of sparkle, our Onyx Lace Acrylic Sheet is an opaque cast acrylic in deep black, traced with a looping lace of multicolor glitter. The threads flash violet, blue, pink and warm peach as the light moves, while the black pools between them hold a soft sheen, so the surface looks like beaded lace laid over black satin.
The glitter is set just beneath the surface rather than on top of it. The lace reads raised and dimensional, but the face is flat, glossy and smooth to the touch, so it wipes clean and handles like any glossy sheet.
Onyx Lace suits laser-cut earrings and jewelry, hair accessories, compacts, boxes, coasters, signage accents and retail display details, where the glitter lace gives even small pieces a dressed-up, after-dark look. It pairs well with polished steel, crisp white, deep red and smoked glass.
The lace pattern is on one face only. The reverse is a plain, glossy black, and cut edges show the solid color, so mark the pattern face on the protective masking before you cut. The pattern varies from area to area and no two cut pieces are identical. Fabricates cleanly with laser cutting, CNC routing, UV printing, and polishing; the glitter may need slightly more laser power than standard cast acrylic.
